macbook pro 13 vs 15 inch

I've spent quite some time trying to choose between a 13" and a 15" 2015 Mackbook Pro for my programming and web development work. I initially wanted a 15 inch model just because a similarly configured 13" would cost about the same, while 15" is just bigger and quad-core. Also, my main concern was that the smaller model would be too small. I googled a lot, seen people say otherwise, but I just wasn't sure.

I ended up getting a 13" though, and I don't regret it. I was buying in Europe and that was the only English-keyboard model available when I urgently needed a laptop. The 15" available at the time only had a German keyboard.

It's true what they say about the portability of the 13 inch. It's lighter and has a smaller footprint. I remember using it on a bus and realising that it fits perfectly, while a 15" would have been too big.

Before I switched to this Macbook, my laptop wasn't porable at all, so I was underestimating the whole portability factor, thinking I won't really need it. I couldn't imagine working in a taxi, or while on a subway train for example. But as it turns out, that is actually very convenient. "People don't know what they want until you show it to them".

I would certainly appreciate having a higher resolution screen, but honestly, I don't have a real need for that, and the 13 inch does get the job done.

So if you're like me a year ago trying to choose, feel free to discard the "smaller screen" argument, unless you know for sure that you need a bigger one – though in that case, I guess, you wouldn't be googling this question at all.
